VALENCIA, Spain: With the theme of “The ever evolving world of implant dentistry”, the fifth International CAMLOG Congress will be hosted in Valencia from 26 to 28 June 2014. Based on the CAMLOG consensus reports, the congress will address the current developments in implant dentistry.
The distinguished scientific committee of the CAMLOG Foundation, chaired by Prof. Mariano Sanz from Spain and Prof. Fernando Guerra from Portugal, has compiled an excellent scientific programme for the event. The surgical and prosthetic concepts and recommendations developed for the first and second CAMLOG consensus reports are at the core of the programme. The reports serve as a basis for topics relating to daily practice, which will be addressed during the congress from both theoretical and practical points of view.
Workshops offering excellent opportunities for expanding practical experience and theoretical knowledge in implant dentistry will be held on the day before the congress. In addition, congress participants will be invited to give input during a panel discussion titled “Complications—what can we learn from them?”.
Registration for the fifth International CAMLOG Congress is now open on the website, www.camlogcongress.com. Participants who register before 28 February 2014 will benefit from an early bird discount. The organisers have recommended that participants register early for workshops owing to high demand.
According to the CAMLOG Foundation, the consensus reports were and will be drafted by a team of experts from 18 countries during meetings in 2013 and 2014. The first CAMLOG consensus report has recently been accepted for publication by the Clinical Oral Implants Research journal.
