MÖLNDAL, Sweden: Today, manufacturer and distributor of dental products DENTSPLY Implants announced a strategic change in its top management. The company’s former group vice-president Dr Lars Henrikson will succeed Jim Mosch as group president. He will assume leadership of DENTSPLY’s global business, consisting of 18 subsidiaries and operations in Europe and the US.
“Over the last year, the integration process between Astra Tech Dental and DENTSPLY Friadent has been carefully executed. As the integration is near completion, I am happy and confident to hand over the leadership of the global implant business to Lars Henrikson. Lars will now focus on the long-term global strategy for the business,” explained Mosch, who will assume the position of Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of DENTSPLY International in the future.
Previously, Henrikson, who has a degree in dentistry, was in charge of marketing, research and development, and operations. Since the acquisition of Astra Tech in September 2011, he has been a member of the leadership team, guiding the integration process and supporting the strategic development of DENTSPLY Implants. He was with Astra Tech for over nine years, during which he was actively involved in the strategic development of the dental implant business.
Henrikson will head the offices in Mölndal, Sweden, and Mannheim, Germany.
