DENTSPLY Implants postpones world summit
by Dental Tribune International

MÖLNDAL, Sweden: The first DENTSPLY Implants World Summit, which was to be held in Austria in March next year, has been postponed. The specialist in patient-specific implant solutions announced recently that it will invest in regional programmes and events instead, which will benefit customers at a local level.

The event was first announced in 2012 and was to take place from 20 to 22 March 2014 in Vienna in Austria. DENTSPLY Implants had expected an estimated 3,000 dental professionals from more than 60 countries to attend the event.

However, at this time, the company believes it is more important to focus on scientific activities, new product development, building the newly formed company, and strengthening its relations and services at a local level.

Nevertheless, DENTSPLY Implants is planning to hold world summit events in the future. The company has not yet decided on a new date for the summit.

DENTSPLY Implants remains committed to science and clinical evidence. It will continue its current activities, such as clinical trials, research projects, and its collaboration with universities, scientific organisations, and opinion leaders.
