According to MIS, the biomaterial solutions consist of bovine, porcine and synthetic products that can also be combined in various configurations to achieve flexible treatment solutions. In addition, they can be mixed with other biomaterial brands.
While 4BONE XBM, an inorganic bovine bone mineral matrix, can be used in bone regeneration procedures and for periodontal defects, 4BONE BCH, a fully synthetic bioactive bone substitute, is recommended for use as a bone augmentation material. BONDBONE, a synthetic bone grafting material composed of calcium sulfate, can be used as a material for socket preservation procedures and augmentation of small defects.
Moreover, the resorbable collagen barrier membranes 4BONE RCB and 4BONE RSB, both cell occlusive and engineered from bovine collagen, are indicated for use in guided soft- and hard-tissue regeneration procedures for dental implants, bone defects and ridge augmentation. Both the 4BONE Plug and sterile 4BONE Tape dental wound dressings can be used to control bleeding, stabilize blood clots and aid wound healing after oral surgical procedures. They are fully resorbed within 10 to 14 days.
The product line has been launched in the U.S. and will soon be made available in other countries with pending approvals, MIS stated.
