FAIR LAWN, N.J., USA: In order to expand its product line to increase flexibility in treatment options, MIS Implants Technologies, a global developer and manufacturer of dental implantology solutions, has launched the C1 Narrow. The narrow implant is an important addition to the company's C1 implant system, offering both surgical and restorative benefits.
According to MIS, the C1 Narrow implant has a 3.3 mm diameter and is available in lengths of 10, 11.5, 13 and 16 mm. Its narrow platform is suitable for use on narrow ridges and between closely spaced teeth or implants.
The implant features a unique conical connection with a four-position, anti-rotational index, which enables thicker walls at the neck end, resulting in a 3.3 mm implant that is equivalent mechanically to 3.75 internal hex implants, the company stated.
In addition, the C1 Narrow incorporates the MIS Dual Stability Mechanism. When placed in full bone, the single-use final drill supplied with each implant creates an osteotomy that generates mild compression at the coronal third of the implant, ensuring high initial stability, while allowing rapid osseointegration in the apical third. This technology combines the benefits of high primary mechanical stability with accelerated osseointegration, achieving rapid biological stability.
Moreover, the implant is fitted with a color-coding system for easy identification during the procedure. Through an ionization process, all prosthetic components are tinted a yellowish hue to ensure maximum esthetics.
