BASEL, Switzerland/MONTREAL, Canada: In the scope of their strategic collaboration, Straumann and Dental Wings have introduced a new plug-in software module that gives users of the Dental Wings CAD/CAM systems full access to Straumann CARES prosthetic portfolio. In France and Italy, the app was released on 1 June. It has been available in the rest of the world since yesterday.
Using the new CARES Prosthetic App, Dental Wings customers will have access to originalStraumann CARES customised abutments and full-contour restorations, as well as crowns and bridges, which are covered by the company’s guarantee.
Customers will also have full access to support provided by the global dental implant manufacturer.
In addition, the app creates new opportunities for Dental Wings laboratories to connect with Straumann dentists and work more efficiently. Through the time saved, the dental laboratories can increase productivity and concentrate on offering competitive services and stronger differentiation of their products, Straumann stated.
According to the companies, the app does not require any additional investment or training because it can be installed using the latest DWOS software (version 3.5.3 or higher), with which Dental Wings users are already familiar.
