BENSHEIM, Germany: Four years after it introduced TENEO, dental equipment manufacturer Sirona launched yet another treatment unit in dental markets yesterday. The new INTEGO was developed with regard to international markets and is meant to offer premium quality at an affordable price.
Available in two versions to suit different treatment requirements, it will be available to dentists worldwide in the upcoming months, with the basic version of the unit to be launched in selected markets in July, said Sirona CEO Jeffrey T. Slovin in the presence of a hundred Sirona representatives from around the globe during a launch event at the company’s main production site in Bensheim in Germany. An enhanced version named Pro is anticipated to follow later this year. It will provide more functionality, such as an automatic disinfection device and the possibility to add an Apex Locator for use in endodontic treatment. Moreover, it will be equipped with a touchscreen panel and a four-way footswitch for more intuitive control.
Both versions of the INTEGO will be available with hanging hoses or whip arms and in a variety of colours to fit different practice environments. Emphasis was also placed on improved ergonomics with the unit featuring a thinner backrest, more comfortable upholstery and flexible height adjustment.
According to Sirona, the units are going to sell between €7,500 and €22,500, depending on the specific configuration.
