LEIPZIG, Germany: The combination of digital media makes dental treatment processes not only easier, safer and more standardised, but also provides a high degree of flexibility—regarding the choice of implants, as well as the design of individually milled abutments. A webinar presented by the Dental Tribune Study Club on 22 May will explain the application of digital technologies to achieve predictable aesthetic and functional results in restorations.
The digital workflow in implantology allows—with a little more planning time—a structured and flexible way to achieve predictable results quickly and safely. With the help of CBCT images, precise 3-D planning can be conducted to achieve aesthetic and functional restorations using surgical guides.
In the one-hour webinar, course speaker Dr Jesper Hatt will address several topics, including the dos and don’ts of aesthetic planning, the advantages of backward planning, predictable implant insertion with surgical guides and the achievement of aesthetic and functional results with individual abutments.
Hatt studied dentistry at Aarhus University in Denmark and the Pankey Institute in the US. He has run his own private practice since 2007 and gives lectures and courses regularly.
The webinar, titled “The ‘digital’ implantation: Predictable aesthetic and functional results—easily and securely”, is free of charge and will be broadcast online on Friday, 22 May, at 3 p.m. CEST. Participants will be able to ask questions via a chat window and have the opportunity to earn a continuing education credit by completing a multiple-choice questionnaire on the topic discussed.
Registration for the webinar is now open on the DT Study Club website, www.dtstudyclub.com.
