Webinar: What to look for in a 3-D imaging solution

by Dental Tribune International

BIBERACH, Germany: With its large range of indications and improved possibilities for planning and diagnosis, 3-D imaging offers an interesting addition or even alternative to 2-D radiographs. However, the criteria for choosing a 3-D imaging solution to match the individual practice requirements can be challenging. A free webinar, presented by the KaVo Academy on 22 July, will explain how to select the most suitable system for your practice.

The approximately one-hour online course will cover the range of functions and fields of application of modern CBCT technologies as a basis for evaluating the relevant purchase criteria. In this regard, the course speaker, Prof. Frank Liebaug, will address several topics, including the relevance of different fields of view, as well as the definition and importance of Low Dose Technology, Automatic Dose Control and Automatic Spine Control. Moreover, he will explain how to plan and evaluate implant treatment using 3-D imaging systems.

Liebaug studied dentistry at Leipzig University and the Medizinische Akademie Erfurt [Medical academy of Erfurt]. Since 1992, he has run his own practice, focusing on implantology, oral laser therapy, regenerative periodontal therapy, bone transplants and other augmentative procedures. Additionally, Liebaug has lectured in the fields of dentistry and orthodontics since 2005.

The webinar, titled “Ten purchase criteria for 3-D X-ray systems”, is free of charge and will be broadcast online on Wednesday, 22 July at 3 p.m. CEST. Participants will be able to ask questions via a chat window and have the opportunity to earn a continuing education credit by completing a multiple-choice questionnaire on the topic discussed.

Registration for the webinar is now open on the KaVo Academy website.
